 Mission Statement

Warren National University Statement on the Value of Diversity

Warren National University recognizes the indivisible tie between the diversity of the University’s administrators, faculty, staff and student, and the experience of integrity of the organization. Diversity is not an abstract value for the University, as we are diverse in age, culture, income, and gender. Diversity is a fact of our culture that is reinforced in our daily activity. To meet the needs of our own diversity requires that first we recognize of the importance in valuing diversity. This is accomplished when each member of the University is trained, supported and then challenged to value their interactions with others. WNU administrators are trained to recognize specific situations and behavior that exemplify our values as we continue to strive for excellence.

Diversity at WNU is not simply defined by the socio-demographics of our constituencies. We find the most profound experience of diversity comes from the moment when two or more individuals of unique background and perspective come together to work collaboratively toward a single goal. This moment occurs within and between constituent groups, as part of learning activities and day-to-day operations. By promoting diversity as a core value, the University reinforces tolerance and an open community that engenders innovation. The emphasis placed on this knowledge and behavior in all aspects of University life further promotes the WNU mission, goals, and values. The outcome is that all individuals are more suitable to conduct business as part of multi-cultural, global workforce.
