Warren National University General Education Philosophy

Warren National University believes that general education for the mid-career professional encompasses both global and program-specific components. General education develops students’ fundamental knowledge and skills, and provides a baseline for life-long learning.

The General Education Program at Warren National University subscribes to:

  • Enabling students to apply critical-thinking skills to analyze complex ethical and applied work-related problems and to understand the practical consequences of specific actions
  • Offering an academic program that develops and enhances students’ lives in the areas of communications, mathematics, humanities, social studies and science
  • Ensuring effective use of computer-based technology
  • Raising awareness of social and ethical responsibilities and multicultural perspectives in personal, educational, and professional situations
  • Instilling an appreciation of the value of life-long learning to support an effective and rewarding career and personal life
