Master of Science, Health Administration

Program Description

The master's level of Warren National University's Health Administration degree program assumes that students already possess the fundamental skills of health administration, and prepares individuals for successful planning of health initiatives within a dynamic, changing healthcare environment. This level helps students think critically about healthcare problems and solutions. Specific areas include managed care, marketing, policy analysis, quality management and advanced financial management systemic processes.

Program Objectives

In addition to the objectives listed for the School of Health Administration master-level degree, upon graduation, Health Administration students will be able to:

  • Incorporate health science concepts into health administration management
  • Apply regulations and policies relating to healthcare and delivery
  • Address marketing principles relative to health services and promotion
  • Apply managerial financial tools and techniques to healthcare facilities
  • Utilize quality management theories and techniques in health administration
  • Demonstrate proficiency in health administration at the master's degree level

Program Requirements

A minimum of 36 credits is required to graduate with a Master of Science in Health Administration (students may exceed 36 credits in satisfying the requirements). All credits must be from 500- to 700-level coursework.

Health Administration Core 18 credits required
Culminating Activities 12 credits required
Health Administration Electives 6 credits minimum required

Culminating Activities

12 credits required. Must include the following courses.

FPP680 - The Thesis Proposal (3 credits)
FPP690 - The Thesis (9 credits)
