Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.)
Program Description
The Doctor of Business Administration program at Warren National University builds upon the content laid down in the master' degree program while providing considerably more in-depth exposure, orienting itself toward those students with senior management potential. Included are high-level management strategy courses encompassing planning, design and organization, through and including implementation, in such areas as Finance, Information Systems, and Project and Systems Management. Students will learn how to improve organizational performance by examining the strategies of business policy and review the legal, ethical and regulatory environments of business. The corporate taxation of various transactions is another important aspect for mid-career professionals to consider. And finally, the course Advanced Business Policy covers the role of the CEO, which is the highest responsibility for ensuring cohesion between departments and among managers themselves.
Program Objectives
In addition to the objectives listed for the School of Business doctoral level degree, upon graduation, Doctorate of Business Administration students will be able to:
- Apply influential business application theories to contemporary strategic planning issues
- Correlate organizational behavior and change principles to effective business models
- Integrate theoretical insights with practical knowledge for effective decision making in business
- Employ financial management theories, concepts, techniques and tools to solve business problems
- Identify solutions to business problems by utilizing contemporary techniques, models, technical skills and analysis tools
- Articulate the impact of cultural, ethical, and global issues on business theory and practices
- Demonstrate proficiency in human resource management at the doctoral degree level
Program Requirements
A minimum of 51 credits is required to graduate with a Doctor of Business Administration (students may exceed 36 credits in satisfying the requirements). All credits must be from 600- to 800-level coursework.
